Hello world!
January 2, 2008
Hello, Vegetarians! This blog is for vegetarians in general and those living in Berks County, PA specifically. Anyone can appreciate the recipes and pertinent information. The restaurant reviews will be especially helpful for those of us who like to eat out but are trying to live a healthy, vegetarian lifestyle here in the heart of PA Dutch country. I have been a vegetarian for nine years, and am still learning, so I welcome any information you would like to share, also. I am not a computer whiz, but after receiving a laptop for Christmas I feel that I must justify the acquisition of this piece of technology — hence the blog.

Hello! I review restaurants on TripAdvisor, always with a vegetarian slant, and have reviewed quite a few in Berks, where I live. I just discovered yiour blog tonight, thanks! I wrote to Bensi about the vegetarian choices and received prompt email back with lots of detail. Have you tried Balasia in Emmaus? It is a date night but truly fabulous with flavors, and all vegan. My other favorite restaurant is Horizons in Philly. But I am always on the search for veg-friendly in Berks. And I love Veganaise waaaaayyyy too much.

Wow! That’s great — thanks for the recommendations! I’m always looking for new vegetarian places to eat.
Have you tried Candle 79 in NYC? That is a wonderful vegan/organic restaurant on 79th St.. I was thrilled to discover they even had agave syrup there for my tea.
